There is no distance in between box and helmet. The ZkullsTM systems are completely integrated into the shell and the outside surface is flat. The flat side of a bracket (or box) attached to the helmet leaves a 0 gap. A very nice solution.

A very nice HC5 cover is TONFLY Box http://www.tonfly.com/Covers_500967.html . It fits snug and very nice. The mount is completely integrated into the helmet and 0 chance for linecatches.
