  1. Hey Jordi, surprising how you hear all of those things. Thanks for the weather forecast for Empuriabrava and you must have good contacts to know already about the xmas weather in Lillo. How many winters have you stayed in Madrid to know so well about??? By the way, how are your students doing??? Please don't use the forums to write bullshit. CU mate
  2. The PST rules you're talking about (Carving Accuracy) are entry - various carve angles -exit. To avoid confusion, I should have found another name for what we are planning to do. We'll use similar rules to the classical PST accuracy but the setup before the target zone is carved. The carve is set and you can't choose the angle. Entry - set carve angle - target. We don't have a problem with setting up above water, we have the set up above water (river) then beach and then sea. On an extreme well performed long carve you could get sweet water - sand - salt water. Beautyful location!
  3. As we've got our competition site at the beach, competitors can "attack" a course different as at a pond, landing on grass. As much as I remember, Lyle did highjump in Daytona on the beach and it got taken out because you can only really run this comp safely on beaches. The highjump we are planning is slightly different. Entry gate, overfly a certain altitude and land in a fair distance behind. It is more a discipline to pop it up on rears and then fly it back down into accuracy (mix out of hight, accuracy and distance). That there was carving accuracy before is new to me. Out of intrest it would be interesting to get those rules, do you know where to find them?
  4. Talking to some high profile competitors (PST) about competition disciplines most were of the opinion that the classical speed, distance and precision rounds are not challenging enough. For the EMPURIABRAVA BEACH SWOOP CHALLANGE we will offer some new disciplines like "carving accuracy","s-carve distance","short track speed" and "highjump accuracy". The rounds before finals will be held very similar to PST or EST rules. Semi finals and Finals will be a mix out of classical set ups and new disciplines. In case you want more information for training purpose, contact me.
