FYI: the little Island is inside the MUGA, Skydive Empuriabrava's Pond and location of the annual Beach Boogie (where the video of Jeffro was taken) and the King of Swoop (26.-30.07.2006). One of the planets nicest swooping playgrounds. The Muga island was only 10m long and 5m wide. Nice plan B Jeffro!

EMPURIABRAVA BEACH 2006 SWOOP CHALLENGE The 2006 Swoop Challenge includes 2 separate competitions. The "King of Swoop" and the "Show Freestyle". The 2006 edition of the "King of Swoop" is taking place 26th to 30th of July on the Beach of Empuriabrava. Disciplines are similar to IPC rules with additional disciplines carved accuracy and s-carve distance. Also the weight reglementation is taken from the IPC with the difference, that the same weight has to be worn for all events. The "Show Freestyle" contest is a separate competition which is taking place on Sunday after the "King of Swoop". There is a mixed judges panel out of skydivers/artists/public and it will be judged in life. Competitors declare their moves before the performance. It can be team, performer + object, team + object or single performance. Thanks to RED BULL, the price money for this years event is in total 20.000,00 US$. Finally it's confirmed. RED BULL is fully sponsoring the "KING OF SWOOP" competition in Empuriabrava/Spain as one of their major european events. What has been voted as most interesting swoop competition in 2005 will this year take place the 26th to 30th of July. Location is like every year the beautifull beach of Empuriabrava. The complete price money is about 25.000 US$. Besides the "KING OF SWOOP" we will hold a "Show Freestyle Contest" on the 30th. Everything is allowed as long as it has been declared beforehand. The "Empuriabrava Beach 2006 Swoop Challenge" will be taking place 27.-30. July 2006. The 27th is planned as oficial training day. Depending on permisions I will add the 26th as an additional training day and the 31st as a freestyle competition. Like this year the 2006 "King of Swoop" competition will include, same as this year, "carved zone accuracy" and "s-carve distance". As every year we'll add another new and challenging variation of speed, distance or accuracy. The total prize money including the "King of Swoop" jackpot is planned to be >= 20.000 US$.
