To right. It always seems to be lush & sunny through the week whilst @ work, come 5pm on a friday it starts lashing it down. huhh, typical
-
After about 7-8 weeks of bad weather we finally have some sunshine
-

Thats quite a few more than i imagined

Does anyone know how many skydivers there are in the U.K??? This is not including ppl who do just one jump as a tandem.
-
Well, i didnt think i was gonna get a rig as soon as this. On saturday someone came up to my local DZ with a rig for sale (i know the person it belongs to). Its practically brand new with only 15 jumps on it. Container:-Zerox. Main:- PD218 Reserve:- Raven 2 170. Still need to get a cyprus like! Also got a rig bag. base slider and base pilot chute. (i dont plan on using the base gear like). Quite happy with my purchase

Rig number 1. Im not into pink personally but that one looks much better than the other 2
-
Nee botha matey. I know the feeling. (Work, huhh. Who needs it)
-
The helmet its self was £125. That includes vat and chin cut etc. However, i chose to get a composite design which was £35 then a £10 delivery.
-
Its Black with red drizzle on it. If you go onto the composite designs on the Headshield website its on there. My jump suite is red & black so thought it will go well together!
-
Good stuff. That means i have note wasted 170 quid. cheers man
-
Cheers for the feedback mate!
-
Yeah, that is the site i got it from but i was wonrdering if anyone on here has one or knows someone who has one who can comment on them.
-
Sorry, my fault. The company i am purchasing it off is Headshield. The model of hemlet is Freedom Plus!
-
Ive ordered myself a "freedom plus" openface. Are they any good?? (as you will gather, i am prety new to this sport).
-
Nice video. Cool stuff man!

I also agree with the above. I originally started on RAPS progression but converted to AFF! It can be a little expensive but hey.........if its something you love to do you will find a way of getting the funds. I was a DJ but had to make a decision. Skydiving or DJ'ing so i sold my deck, records etc and raised enough to money to cover my AFF course and a little extra to spend on a jump suite, helmet alti etc. Best £1500 i have ever spent doing AFF :-) Good luck and enjoy!!!!

Brumby replied to billvon's topic in Safety and Training
The way i see it is. A canopy/freebag can be replaced. A life cant! -
Hello and welcome. Ive just completed my AFF and the best tip is to follow instrcutions and you will be fine! Ohh and yes.......... trust your arch. I didnt at first until i done my unstable exit then i was clearly proven wrong
-
Goog luck with your consoles. It must be nice to get jumping. I done my L8 hop "n" pop over 2 weeks ago and i still havent been able to do any consoles. (BRITISH WEATHER EHH!) .rain rain rain wind wind wind

Ello ppl. I was exactly the same. scarred stiff at the though of dangling there @ 3500ft when i cant even hang out of my bedroom window without getting a wobble on. Furthermore, i hate flying! However, it is amazing how many ppl are actually frightened of highs & flying yet they can "Skydive". After i done my 5th static line jump i coverted to AFF. Money well spent. If you can afford it, do it!...........
-
Exactly my thought. I never had any wish to do a jump but i done it anyway (for charity) and boy............................................... you cant keep me away from the sport now
-
Congrats also. I completed my AFF last Tuesday. Hope you have a good & safe Skydiving career
