  1. My daughter and I went through AFF together. It was cool going through that experience together.
  2. I don't think the weather has made it to Moss Point yet.
  3. I was shown once how to pack my chute. The second time they watched as I did it. I have been packing my own chute ever since.
  4. I pack my own rig but since getting the new canopy its been tough to get it in the bag. That 0P canopy is slick. Generally I get it to the point of putting it in the bag then have one of the experienced packers help put it in the bag.
  5. yes the insureance companies do rip us off. But in your case the Solara is considered a sports car and to put a young driver behind the wheel of that car is asking for trouble, in their opinion. But atleast you don't live in Louisiana where the insurance rates are lower than only California. For 3 vehicles one with full coverage I pay 1900 every 6 months. And that is with a clean driving record.
  6. I am trying to talk my oldest daughter into making a tandem when she comes for a visit in August. My youngest daughter and I visit the DZ every chance we get and jump.
  7. Let's see I started skydiving at 47. I can't believe now that I waited for so long to finally take the plunge. My daughter is the reason why I finally started. She had made a couple of Tandem jumps and told me I should go ahead and make one myself. Well she scheduled it and I was hooked from then on. I just finished AFF 3 weeks ago and am enjoying every jump I make. Just can't believe I waited so long to finally jump. There was a guy at the DZ this weekend that is 77 years old and he still loves it.
  8. I agree with you there I find myself looking up into the sky while working and thinking this would be a good day to go skydiving.
  9. congrats to you too Brumby. I hope you have a fun and safe career
  10. there is know way to explain the feeling I had when we were up together and ready to jump. AWESOME!! only comes close.
  11. I just graduate from AFF Sunday, my Daughter graduated on Saturday from AFF also. We actually went up on the same load Sunday evening and that was the first time we jumped together.
