  1. I'm looking forward to spending some time in the warm tropical sunshine in Puerto Rico with Them Toadsuckers ...in two weeks!! What could possibly go wrong?
  2. 'These days' it is critically important for American citizens to know. It's not too late. We can reclaim our country. What could possibly go wrong?
  3. The LAPD sure learned this lesson. As a cross point, how do you think the Homeland Security directives to aggressively get the job done will be interpreted by the various US law enforcement agencies in the application of new laws against people here in the US? We definitely should have been more careful in what we wished for. What could possibly go wrong?
  4. . Was Graner acting within the general sphere of permissiveness tolerated somewhere in the hierarchy ...my guess would be yes. Is he responsible for his actions ...most definitely yes. As a country, we were/are fearful. We elected leaders to take extra-ordinary measures to help us feel safer. Be careful what you ask for ... What could possibly go wrong?
  5. Let the rationalizations roll!!!! What could possibly go wrong?
  6. A good example of how easy it is for us to see this happening in other countries. What could possibly go wrong?
  7. People who have been banned have been pushing the rules for quite a while. Even if Kallend's final straw was pretty weak, the history was clear. Same for the others. ------------------------------------------------------------ Really? This statement intrigued me so I've spent some of this evening searching and reading Kallend's posts. I just read everything he posted for the past year and ...I don't get it. Were his more offensive posts removed? If so, I guess I don't have an informed opinion. If not, what is going on here? What could possibly go wrong?
  8. John... I don't know why you are posting under 2 other ID's in here since your main one was banned. But what if the issue is only being percieved as an issue by those that get kicked out? ----- Wow! What was your purpose here? Am I missing a joke? Maybe something on the order of snitching in a thread about snitches????? What could possibly go wrong?
  9. ------- I agree with some of your argument but wonder if we would even be having this discussion if a mentally ill husband had drowned his children. What could possibly go wrong?
  10. I simply can't believe people are wining about how DZ.com is run. ------------------------------------------------------------ I think people are voicing concerns in an open, mature manner. It's obviously a subject you feel strongly about. If one puts emotionality/loyalties aside, there is some excellent feedback on how to make a good site ...better. YMMV What could possibly go wrong?
  11. This thread could be taken as a "gripe" thread. So, while removing it would would be seen as being a little too strong a reaction, it could also be seen as being within the stated rules of the forum. Banning for starting it would only be reasonable if the originator had pushed those limits repeatedly and hard most likely -- I haven't ever seen him do either. Of course, I'm not a moderator, but if they're reasonable they must think like me because, after all, I'm reasonable . So no, I don't really see a problem. I might've started it the same way, and I've never been banned. Warned once, but I had to really work at it to get warned Wendy W. Great server, no serious gripes with the moderators. I don't see a problem as much as I see a potential 'trend' toward sanctioning the ...unpopular. Kind of like the way the 'in' group in the playground excludes the awkward kid. Not cause he broke the rules or attacked anyone, he just wasn't popular. I used to jump at a DZ a few years back that had a nice bonfire every night. The regulars and DZ staff ran off the ones they just didn't like. It would be a shame if that happened here. What could possibly go wrong?
  12. I haven't noticed political views to be an issue in discliplinary actions. It seems to have become a place for cliques, however. What could possibly go wrong?
  13. Yes. I read the email HH sent to crwmike ...talk about personal attacks ..wow! Sangiro is quite the honorable person. I know this personally. Not many people are going to believe that he did anything like what you are insinuating, especially not without reason. If you have a problem with Sangiro, handle it with class and send him an e-mail about it yourself. The subtopic was seemingly capricious decisions. Sounded like kallend was on the wrong end of one. I brought up the only one I was aware of. Didn't intent to slander HH or defend crwmike. Too much free time over the holidays so I thought I'd check in here. I'll now return you to your regularly scheduled programming What could possibly go wrong?
  14. Yes. I read the email HH sent to crwmike ...talk about personal attacks ..wow! What could possibly go wrong?
  15. Apparently. Being a smartass is no longer allowed over there. Strange things happen on DZ.com. CRWMike answered a question about DZ.com email saying, "Having the continuance and privacy of my email depend on the whims of one person is not appealing." His concern was immediately validated by being permanently kicked off the server. Sanctions seem to depend on what clique you are aligned with here.
  16. My first CRW Jumps were at 26 jumps. That said, I wouldn't recommend attempting CRW at such a low experience level unless you are VERY comfortable with your canopy, and you can find VERY experienced partner who you trust and who is willing to commit to lots of training jumps to give you a level of consistancy so that you can focus on your performance. Of course the Mike Lewis beginner camps are also a great place for someone to start out in CRW as well Thanks Michael! (and Gino) What could possibly go wrong?
  17. Couple of things: 1: It appears that CRWMike's comment was quite prophetic - look at the reaction. 2: I've met CRWMike. If he wanted to verbally kick someone in the crotch, it would most likely castrate the poor fool. Bill Clement
