We've all been there. I remember wishing I could fly like and do the things other divers were doing. It does take time and patience. Buy the video "pack like a pro" watch it a bunch of times. Practice packing a lot. I love skydiving. Our sport does take time to become a good flyer. Hang out at the DZ even when the weather isn't good. I agree with Deuce and motherhucker. I was a commercial diver. The best track was to learn how to weld, get an inspection rating or get a degree in engeneering FIRST then get a job diving. Skydiving is kind'a unique. It's actually extremely easy to get paid. I suppose it's a suppy and demand issue. A lot of camera flyers = lower average payment. Just my 2 cents. Blue Skies! The only tandem I've shot was totally nude in Quincy 4 years ago... She was lovely. We had such a great time!

my understanding is that if it is an event open to the public. ( Like going to a football game) then they have the expectation that their picture could be taken and used without their concent. Unless it is posted with something like "Photography is not allowed". I fly camera and am ususally the first one out. I let the LO confirm the spot and do a quick check myself when I climb out. Then it's up to the LO to decide when to exit. If we're long I pull high. It's better karma to put a few $$ away. It's also important to make sure your gear is ready to jump. There are a lot of innocent people on the ground that don't want to get hurt or have their car or other property damaged.
