  1. I'd like to hook up with some people from SoCal (LA/San Diego) and try to get on the same flight. MEssage me if interested. But i will be there for sure. "GOT LEAD?"
  2. You can count me in on this one....hopefully i have my A by then. Anvils....ha ha...5'8" 235lbs. Try 6' 2" and 315lbs now your talking ANVIL. "GOT LEAD?" "GOT LEAD?"
  3. ok...too technical for me. Are you telling me it doesnt have a weight limit then? Another question is about tandems. Are the harnesses built very heavy compared to a regular rig say with a "d" rating or is webbing and features similar. I have been jumping a Vector rig which was made special for a guy about my size. It was a tandem rig that RWS made from the tandem plans and did a "cutdown" on it to fit the 340 main and 335 reserve. I was curious if the "B" rating was a rating used on tandems...basically i could have said that in the original post. "GOT LEAD?"
  4. I know what the "c" rating and "d" rating are as far as weight limits....but what about the "B". I was looking at the rig i have been renting and it has the "B" rating. never heard of that one...anyone have the weight limits on it? "GOT LEAD?"
  5. glad to hear everything worked out. I"m scared shitless about doing a hop n' pop. But to get the A you have to do what you have to. I'll have to talk to the packers on that one too...my canopy takes about 1000ft to open...YIKES "GOT LEAD?"
  6. Holy crap...you did it!! Congrats. I'm gonna have to quit calling you a pussy. Keep us up to date on your progress. "GOT LEAD?"
  7. 3600lbs per side?? of the harness? not sure on your answer "GOT LEAD?"
  8. if your are coming from the east, stop by Gold Coast Skydivers in Moss Point, MS. It is a first class DZ and is only about a mile north of I-10. Only about 100 miles if that from new orleans "GOT LEAD?"
  9. i know your right but..... and like a dumbass i downloaded a bunch of movies with crashes and now....DAMN "GOT LEAD?"
  10. just go do it! For me level 1-4 werent any fun and i wondered why i was doing them. But 5-7 is when you start to have fun. By then you notice how much time you actually have and on your first solo youll realize you have ALOT of time and i actually got kinda bored on my solo so i started doing turns and what not. Try to relax and ahave fun. Something that really helped me...as told by another guy in the plane on the ride up..he looked at me ( knowing i was nervous) pointed at my chest (heart) and said "If this is slow..the skydive will be slow". Bygod he was right and i try to remember that on each jump. "GOT LEAD?"
  11. I appreciate everyones comments to my problem. I think i just need to go out and jump and do my best and what else could i ask for from myself. I think once i am all by myself (no radio) i think i will really be alert and know i have to count on myself. "GOT LEAD?"
  12. hey damnit.....you stole my videos and are pretending they are yours! j/k you look just like me except i dont normally get up afterwards.lol "GOT LEAD?"
  13. i dont know if the oh sh!t method is right for me.. "GOT LEAD?"
  14. I dont really have issues with control just witrh the flairing part...i just cant seem to judge height and have no idea when to flare. I have watched and watched other people but everyone seems to flare at different times. I'd love to come in like all those tandems..most of those guys seem to stand up everytime even with the passenger. I have only ever stood up on one landing. "GOT LEAD?"
  15. i have 11 jumps and have yet to get off the damn radio. I got hurt pretty good on jump three from a no flair landing. Both knees still hurt and it was over two months ago. Anyway...i need to get off the radio and on jump 11 my instructor (coach) really gave me a hard time about jumping with one saying i would be fine. Long story short i'm scared shitless..and haven't jumped again because of my fear. I want to jump today but dont know if i can do it. Any advise.?? By the way i load the canopy at 1.08:1 and with my exit weight im stuck with this canopy (340 ft2)..anybody got a PD 500 that will fit this container? lol "GOT LEAD?"
  16. Great writing skills!! such detail..lol Well at least your were trying on all your jumps...i totally did nothing but pull on level four. Didnt pass that one. "GOT LEAD?"
  17. both places are great. I would guess she will be doing a tandem. If not i would recommend SD...the winds are almost always out of the west and very consistant. Plus from what i've seen SD is a bit slower paced and they will be able to work her in quicker too. Just depends which is closer....plus the view of the Pacific and SD skyline is worth seeing..although the green lake is pretty too. "GOT LEAD?"
  18. so...is there a mt-1x and a mt-1xx? Cause i have the XX and it has a one pin main and two pin reserve. So isnt my rig just like packing a sport rig other then the reserve? "GOT LEAD?"
  19. how can packing the rigs or the original xx canopies be that much different than a sport rig? I was trained on a MT-1 and watched them being packed and it didnt look any different than a sport rig...just roll the nose on them or you get slammers. "GOT LEAD?"
  20. how long before i get my A? As long as my bank account has money in it....not looking like anytime soon. lol Luckily all these freeflyers have coach ratings and we will be doing a "coach" jump. "GOT LEAD?"
  21. i hear ya...did my first solo jump yeserday and once the beer started flowing freeflyers were asking all kinds of questions and we plan a wicked hybrid in a few weeks. "GOT LEAD?"
  22. ok you got alot over my head with that answer. could someone use a "main" as a reserve like the military HALO rigs use, and just have a rigger pack it accordingly? "GOT LEAD?"
  23. is there a difference between a main and reserve, besides the way it is packed? "GOT LEAD?"
  24. I'm new to the game but isnt it one jump every 30 days to stay current? "GOT LEAD?"
