I was just wondering if anyone one who wears a Closing-Pin Necklace has ever worn it through Airport Security, and what the outcome was... I just flew to Vegas this past weekend, and at the last minute decided to leave my necklace behind after my wife suggested that they might consider it a sharp object. I've emailed him and mentioned that it doesn't fit. I guess that's just one of the drawbacks of buying something on Ebay. SOME people will accept returns, some won't. We'll have to see what he says. Plus, I can't find anything on the manufacturer (Para-Phernalia), althought there is an address and phone number on the tag, the number is disconnected. I did find a manufacturer in Australia called Gravitator who makes a pair of Freefly pants that I'm interested in. Everyone ready to laugh? I just received a RW suit that I won on Ebay. The description said that it would fit someone 5'6"-5'10" 150-180lbs. Ok, I'm 5'8" and 150lbs, and from the waist down, this thing is TIGHT, almost like a second skin. Now, I know RW suits are supposed to be snug, but it is supposed to bring back memories of the Sunset Strip in the 80's??? How tight is TOO tight?? I'm really bummed that it doesn't fit, but it's a cool looking suit. Remember when sex was safe, and skydiving was dangerous?

Is it safe to airbrush a logo onto a canopy. It seems to me that it would be since the paint spays out in a fine mist... my only concern might be a chemical reaction between the paint and the material. Remember when sex was safe, and skydiving was dangerous?

This is a question I posted a while back in rec.skydiving, but I'm curious to hear some of your opinions in here. I've seen a couple of canopies around the DZ that have custom designs on them. I was fine on my first jump, ironically enough. But every jump since then I've been scared shitless. In fact, on my Level 4, I was so nervous that I ALMOST didn't want to jump... I said ALMOST Remember when sex was safe, and skydiving was dangerous?

I'm on Level 5, and I'm a month and a half into it. We could have done it quicker, but finances play a big part in it. If you have the money to burn, you can knock it out in 2 or 3 days. My budget right now is pretty minimal. In fact, the only reason I can even go through my AFF training right now is because it was paid for as a birthday present from my best friend (how many people have a friend like THAT? ) When looking at Ebay or in here for jumpsuits, I look for the absolute lowest possible. I passed one up on Ebay for $27, and I'm kickign myself for it now, but am currently the high bidder on another for $30. OTHER than the classified section here in this site, Ebay, the rec.skydiving newsgroup, does anyone know of any other sites where I could find in-expensive skydiving gear?
