Well, I'm sad to say that I'll only be at Skydive Aggieland for a few more weeks now. I'm moving to Ft. Collins Colorado to help my God Parents sell their daughter's house, she died from Leukemia (sp?) just a few weeks ago. I'll only be gone for 2 to 8 months, but i'm still pretty sad about it. SDA has really been such a great experience and i'm going to miss everyone so much. hmmmf. Of course, the change of pace will do me good i'm sure and it'll be nice to see snow again. and so, i've done it. My first tandem was absolutely beyond all words. Thanks to Skydive Aggieland and MagicLou!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully Pablito will post a pic, maybe not, but I did a tandem with tspillers, pilotmike (or whatever his dz.com name is) on my left and mfdammit on my right. pablito was in front of me and AggieDave was on his right. does that make sense? so, i did a 3-way tandem I guess you'd call it...i dunno. Not really a poem or anything...just some thoughts from my 1st jump: __________________________________________________ ....and i could stay here forever. with the kiss of the world on my body, the sweet touch of freedom fills my soul.....-so this is what it's like to be me-.... I saw myself in the sunset, i heard my voice in the wind. I smelled the sweet scent of autum, felt life's kiss play upon my lips...and now life begins. I faintly feel the harness grow tight, hear a soft whisper in the sky. The world stops turning, my mind flies free. The silence of the sky is beauty in it's purest form...forgive me, i've lost my words.

ok, here's my opinion: kindness is extremely sexy. not the kindness you can fake, but genuine, heart-of-gold concern for other people. the guy that stops and helps the old man/woman/whatever stranded on the side of the road, the guy that gives his best pair of boots to a homeless man in December. selfless, humble, sweet, and genuine.
