My niece is doing a project (egg drop) I am trying to draw some pictures because she is not grasping the open end to the closed end. There are plenty of pics of canopies but I was looking for something such as a pencil drawing of the side and or a front view.and she will get a D if I draw it. can anyone direct me to something I can send to her.

I got this in an email showing a guy that rest his surf board on a fulcrum hence a crane drops a weight on the opposite end propelling him in the air, then deploys and lands his canopy. WTF don't know how to send this out to you all, or should I just forget it because it's bullshit or old

If you did everything as per the BSR & an injury or fatality occured, that really sucks. You now have to ask yourself if "what did I say that resulted in this tragedy" "did I say the right thing" "I am at a loss" I am not an instructor but a person that can feel a loss of this magnitude. What really sucks is that if an instructor does the right thing and a loss happens he or she has to live with that their whole life. That is why our AFF people are second to none. As far as the legal issue, if they followed the rules I don't think it should not be a legal issue

went unstable just when i tossed the hackey...hence lines wrapped around my right leg, upside down and spining. I can't chop until I use my hook knife to get the lines cut. Then comes the reserve ride. That was jump# 117, the whole process was instinct, but then again it was do or die

here trying to fit in, when I clearly don't you have jumped out of a plane not just once but 5 times... you are a skydiver.. you share the same thread as anyone in this forum, many will disagree.. you will find some good points on these forums but it will take some time to determine the ones who make some real good sense as those who just have this need to completely pick apart a question and turn into a major debate. I just read the posts and pretty much go with the majority and compare that with the instructors at the DZ. These forums are a good thing but it's like asking a lawyer a yes or no answer..NOT

I have seen these posts and replied. If you live in NY you cannot be denied coverage because you skydive,scuba dive,rock climb,, fly a plane blah blah blah. The ONLY thing that will do is charge you an extra $3.50 per $1000 of coverage. If you do NOT disclose that you skydive on your application that you DO skydive and you die within 2 years of the date of the application FROM SKYDIVING then they will deny the coverage to your next of kin or whom ever you left it to. They (ins co) will search every data base if you die within 2 yrs of the inception date of the policy just to find a lie or misrepresentation. If you die from ANYTHING AFTER the 2 year anniversary date of that policy that HAVE to pay regardless of what you die of, you can even do the pussy thing & commit suicide and they still have to pay....

I have done that and found it to be the most peaceful thing I have ever done.. funny how different people like or dislike things. human nature
