We are still waiting... :-( ADD: DivX was not suitable for the judges. Tried a second upload with MPEG1 compression in 10/2007. The MPEG1 decoder should be on every multimedia computer today.

Last sunday evening. I had so much luck with the light. In Germany we call this time of year "goldener Oktober" (golden october)... this is a picture of a funjump. None of the jumpers has more than 100 jumps, so the result is not this bad ;-) Stefan

There are a lot of good image manipulation tutorials on http://www.worth1000.com. You need no expensive Photoshop, but many tutorials follow the commands of this program. GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) might be an open source (free) replacement.

Some of you may know that there is a FAI CF Webchallenge running... (others read about it at http://www.fai.org/parachuting/CF_web_challenge) Last weekend my team did the CF2 jumps and had a lot of fun. Now the question to other videopeople: What kind of video picture size and compression do you use for the video? We have to upload the video of 3 jumps to a website and MiniDV is about 1 GB.

Perhaps it is wiser to hire a dubber than a packer

With Ricoh Caplio GX8 (digital compact class) i use for * RW manual focus infinity, fixed aperture 4.7, shutter automatic and fixed ISO 100. On late afternoon the ISO settings may be ISO 200 (or 400 but the pictures are rather noisy then).
