Flip the gender in that statement and we're on the same page. When I was younger, more selfish and flippant in relationships, I learned the hard way how my actions actually affected someone else. Now I'm very conscious of my behavior when I'm in a relationship. Basically, I ask myself, is what I'm about to do (or not do) so important to me that its worth hurting someone I love? .. and it never is. That philosiphy doesnt apply just to "cheating" situations, its also about keeping your word and being true.

Do you know that he has hurt people in the past then? I can guarantee that if he hurt someone on a drop zone, I would know it. I got a phone call about this incident about six hours after it happened. Theres no need to be condescending towards me. I have said all along that what he did was wrong and he deserves to go to jail for it.

I know that .. now quit making me look like a stuck up hard ass.. I'm just tired of seeing people getting hurt. Everyone could be a little bit nicer to others without a major personality overhaul.

Jay.. seriously do you think I'm trying to turn everyone in to me? I am completely aware that not everyone sets their own standards to the level that I set for myself, which even I don't always live up to. But it is exactly this type of statement that makes me feel judged for not being less of a person. And I disagree.. some people's morals (or lack thereof) are just wrong! I never said that mine are a shining example.. but when someone does something that affects me and I stand up for myself, I expect support from my friends. If its something I care about enough to react to, then it matters to me.

Not entirely true. While you can't "control" other's actions, you can certainly influence them. Set a good example.. probably just to be ignored.

There are a lot of deceitful people running around, and I guess I'm just tired of being judged for standing up for myself and my morals. And since nobody else stands up for me, I have no choice. THIS DOES NOT MEAN I THINK I AM BETTER THAN YOU. (not "YOU", Sharon..) It does, however mean I am sick of all the whiney titty crybabies, and selfish attitudes. Hows the whuffo world, Sharon?
