  1. DSE, it is not so much that Pacific Skydiving is lax; it is really an economic issue. Because both DZs are TM driven when an instructor has to work with or teach a student they are often taken out of the TM rotation, which causes them to lose income. This is based on my 12 years of experience jumping in Hawaii and working at both DZs. Because Pacific Skydiving does not have the daily number of TM customers as SDH, we are better able to attend to our students and visiting jumpers. Everyone seems to forget just how long there has been skydiving in Hawaii and that we have grown students from the days of rounds to the present. Arvel
  2. Pot, class ring, Para-lert, plasma, blood, tools ect. All for an air-gasim :)

  9. Mmmm Sam Adams....... You will be fine, we just to often see young jumpers want to advance too soon and quit or get hurt early on. We will do our best to ensure you do not do either :) The life style and pace over here is much more laid back You will "hang loose" or go crazy!! See you soon!!! Arvel
  10. No worries about the beer (Sam is my choice). Your progress will depend on your success as a student and our weather! We are very happy to help you meet all your goals, we just have to ensure you are learning as we go and learning safely!! Hawaii is a very cool place to learn to skydive and can be very dangerous too!! The DZ has ALL the hazards, ocean on one side, large hills on the other, trees, power lines, small DZ with fencing, and medium to high winds all the time!! Looking forward to your adventure too :) Arvel
  11. Kevin, We look forward to your move and having new jumpers on the DZ (as we need beer). Anyway, please plan on the high side for the cost, then as you are more ingrained in our local Ohana (family) the cost will go down because some of us will jump with you for FREE :) I am not sure what gear rental cost at this time, the prices may have changed from the web site post, I will get a current cost sheet from the DZ and update you this weekend. For the most part our students do not get video with jumps unless they request that, however; most of us have camera gear so when you jump with us you will get photo/video for the low low cost of beer :) Stay Safe, Aloha!!! Arvel
  12. Kevin, What do you want to know, we will do our best to give you information from both DZ's. You may PM me and I can give you a phone number if you want to talk or any of us Hawaii locals will answer your questions about each operation. Aloha!!! Arvel

  20. DSE is correct, Pacific Skydiving will allow you to jump there with an "A" if the conditions are good enough. Please feel free to contact either DZ to get the first person information on what is or is not allowed at each company. Aloha!!!
