Dates 17-18 May 03 this upcomming weekend. Location Netheravon DZ UK. This event will primarily be a progression weekend based around coaching and advice. One on one and group coaching will only cost you your slot and a warp ticket which is £10. All jumps will be put onto video and transferred onto a tape which will be played in the bar each evening. Limited accommodation in the bunk house is available and camping is free. Don't forget to bring photo ID with you to gain access to Netheravon Airfield (passport or driving licence etc..) Organised load(s) will be put together towards the end of each day for all participants whom would like to join in. Firefly are by far our choice the best out there, yes they do sponsor us but we have a policy to jump only equipment we believe in. We have turned down better offers from lesser quality manufacturers. We believe in what we use and Sherry at firefly in our opinion has struck the best in quality and service!! About bag etc... mentioned, flying a suit which is too baggy infact hinders your ability to learn the correct position dont let your suit fly you. Use your body to fly not your suit. The manufacturer you choose to use for your suit should give you the best advice on cut lining drag etc... what you require. Remember knowledge is your best friend. Speak to other non biased freeflyers at your DZ. See what they say shop around get advice from your mentors or instructors. Freeflying is a skill and like any other skill can be learned the right way or wrong way. Progression will happen faster if you gain advice from a good instructor. I own a saifire 189 im loading it to 1.42 yeah 1.42 on a 189 im 6 5 tall and 240 butt naked. My first canopy was a just out never seen saifire 229 loved em still love em. My 189 at the moment is a saifire 1 relined to the same spec as a saifire 2 i.e shorter recovery arc nice long carving swoops. I stand fast having done some 600 jumps on saifires now no great number admitted but love the canopy to bits. I have put it down in a tight arena on demo jumps at night and swooped the pond at a dz both very comfortably. Learn your canopy before you get radical with it. But beware just beacause its semi eliptical dosent make you a master flyer. Its not the equipment but the pilot. Had my first and only smash up on a saifire hook too late ouch crunch ohhhh!! my back. Here goes PhreeZone jumped today some frame grabs from my PC9. Lens picture is very good lets a lot of light in and the video image is crisp and clear well happy with the purchase. The shots on the rail were taken about 2 feet apart and the spock was about one foot apart. Thumbs up from me

Well i got the lens finally and here is the verdict. The build quality is very good. The optics are great and there is no vinigete at the edges. At the extreme wide angle there is a slight fisheye effect but this is minimal. The thread of the lens is 30mm and screws straight onto my PC9> Waheey no step up rings. Opticaly it waorks well in freefall and is ideal for those close infromation shots if you are part of a formation or coaching. I'm that happy think i will be buying me the 0.45 version also the blue eye. At last competition for the diamond 0.3. The price was a lot cheaper too. A friend of mine jumping in OZ brought it back for me so i can't really talk about shipping costs and times etc.... But hey i'm real happy with this new bit of kit for my camera arsenal.
