  1. If you pull your front riser as far as you can (lets say 4"-6") I would hope you would have some tail deflection. You should have about 2" of slack in your break lines (on average). this means you should be able to pull down on your break lines about 2" before your tail starts to deflect.   5. Kentlad I don't think your Q's "suck eggs". My question to you though is. You say you just finished level 8. Why has no one at your DZ told you what an rsl is? or maby they did but you didn't understand. Why are you not aware of your DZ's traning program in regards to cat10. YOUR DZ may still use it. I think it is great that you are coming here to get the ansures that you need. I also think you should not hesitate to do so in the future. But it seems to me that their is a lack of comunication between you and your DZ. It wories my when ppl HAVE to ask questions like "what is an rsl". I think some one should have told you this by now. I have been looking all over for some one that is deserving enought to receave the curren tip and add theirs to it and pass it on to some one else.   11. Just asking. I had never heard of any one needing any repairs on just a 4yr check I know of at least 2at my dz How do you know it is the same one? Did you tag the many case in any way before you sent it in. The main rigger at are dz for a while did this and had atleast two come back different. It is hard for just anyone to check thier cypress. I try not to voice my opinion in regards to this subject as not to "stir the pot" I just didn't like it when some one is not alowed to express thier opinion freely. And with that said this will be my last post on this topic. Unless some one is not alowed to express thier opinion openly. I have nothing bad to say about the people at SSK as I have never talked to them. I have no angel just an opinion. PhreeZone They might be giving more effort thies days to make sure the right one gets back to the right person I don't know. I was only talking about the 4yr 8yr check (sorry for the typo) and if the electronice go bad just beause . I know ppl can do some bad damage to thier eqp.   12. I asume this was directed to me. If not sorry. I have not called them but I did atemp to ask Helmut some questions in person at this years PIA. The short of it was I felt like I was treated like a child and he was all knowing. Altought he wold never give any proof of any thing. He basicly danced around my and others questions. With answres such as. The cypress is the most acurate device and the other devices (such as altimiters etc.) were inferior or, The Cypress knows when you are on your back front side etc or, That question dose not have any thing to do with the topic at hand. Because unless you were asking questions about military aplications or their new pilot set up it was not on topic. I not ony shop for the producs that I bye I also shop the PPL I bye them from. And it is my opinion that I choose not to finachaly suport Airteck in any way if I can help it. Here is a question or two for every one. Has anyone ever been told that thier cypress needs to be replaced or fixed when you had it sent back for any of it's 2yr,4yr,8yr checks? How many PPL receved some one elses Cypress when they sent thiers in for a check?   17. I don't remember the specs but it was explaned to me and others at the last PIA by airtec that the cypress fires dew th a berometric pressure reading and not 750ft or higher. As you know thies change throut the day. I'm not trying to sound like an ass just trying to convay the way Airetech came acrossed.   18. This is a littel harder to describe with out showing. Bouth are sewn in differnt spots. Basicly from what I understand the main lift web runs from your hip up over your sholder down the back pad of the rig all the way to the bottom of the rig than takes the same (revers) path to your other hip. The latteral runs from one hip to the other along the bottom of the rig.   19. This never made sense to me. There's a whole lot more vertical movement on a large RW jump as divers come down. Is this a 3-d jump, too? Seems to me people've been tracking long before any freeflyers came along... _Am I fully agree. I walk in with my logbook showing I have been jumping a 1.5:1 for the last year or so, but I tell you that my gear is still in Iowa and I have jumped a 1.9:1 (Jedei 107 with exit weight of 200) a couple times, but never logged it. No other documentation confirms that. You rent me a Jedei 107 and I frap on the landing. I don't see how having a licens could change any of this. The problem is not with the peace of paper that is used (and I would think a logbook would be more acurate than a membership card) but with the person that rented them the gear. And let us not forget the biggest problem of all. The dumb ass who jumped the gear when they should not have. We can "what if" all day long. But how about insted of blaming the problem on some one else we start having ppl be responsible for their actions insted of sewing some pore sap just because you can. All I have to say is thank you Darwin for making the world a safer place for responsible people. If your going to go to the edge you had better make sure you have what it takes to make it back. USPA isn't necessarily governed by FAA, but FAA does have jurisdiction if an incident occurs; so it leads to believe that FAA regulates our sport too. Sorry to tell you but are sport is not governd buy the uspa in any way. A "skydiver" is not requierd to belong to nore get a licens from the uspa in order to legely jump . And that is any kind or size of jump. The closest thing that we get to regulations is the BSR. Thies are inforced by the FAA. They are a very loose type of regulation. In my opinion I like it this way. Befor you know it we will all be wering bands around are arm and some one telling us were we can and can't go. Oh wate I think some one has alredy done that before.   23. #1 Tracking is 3d because you are not just moving streight down. Their is alot of movment that can take place on one of thies dives thus a littel mor risk the more ppl you get on it. #2 Pylon race is were you have two or mor ppl with a tub (or ribin) the ppl with the tubs (pylons) stay in one place while others race around them.   25. Stuff like this is what I was trying to say. The cops have to prove "beond a dought" what the chrimanal was doing. They cant say " I saw you do it" as they have no idea who they saw and more than likely you are no longer comitting the crime. So they use the fact that you have the gear to do such a thing to remove dought. Thus take the gear into evidence as proof. I would still like to know for a fact why no one gets their gear back. I think only a peson who has tried and was not able to get it would be able to ansure this.
