It was jumpable weather for 373 consecutive days? Anyways, I started jumping in July and made 5 jumps that month. I made about 30 in August, 40 in September, 40 in October, 40 in November, 40 in December, and about 35 so far this month. I heard Paul Raffety (golden knights 8-way team cpt.) saying when they go to yuma from Jan. 20 to begginning of March they make about 250 jumps.

Cheryl Stearns is the absolute women's world champ. She has like 20 something national championships and a bunch of WORLD championships. I think she also has the world record for most jumps made in a 24 hour period.

Who is the best skydiver you personally know? For me it would be Paul Rafferty of the Golden Knights. He's got skills, knowledge, and experience. He's back on the team this year as the 8-way captain.

If you weren't skydiving, what other sport would you be participating in? For me it would be Motocross.

Never made a skydive until after my 20th birthday but have been in the wind tunnel since age 14. I never used booties until I was 18 and I hated it also. With 20 jumps (i'm guessing you've got no more than 20 minutes with booties) I would use em' for at leat 50 more jumps or get into a tunnel with em' so you really can practice. After I had flown in booties for about an hour (worth about 60 jumps I finally got used to them. The other day I jumped for the 1st time without booties and I hated it. I think you'll love em' once ya get used to it.

Here are some do's that I have been told and picked up on. Be Confident Visualize Be Aggressive Keep Eye Contact Stay Level and Tight And for Bill Rafferty's sake, DIP THEM KNEES

If you are using six people you might want to practice piece turns in two groups of three. One person in each group just presents (he/she can be either inside or outside of the cone) and the other two create a star with the third, break with the third and piece turn 360 degrees. Then the third person and another side body the last person left, the third breaks and piece turn the side body, then do the same w/ a cat 2 piece. Do it until each person has gone through each slot several times. Good warm up drill before doing 4 or 8 way.
