What works for me in HD is bending the leg opposite to the turn, at the knee to deflect a bit of air. No doubt either of the above posted methods will work. You tend to go where you're looking, and twisting your shoulders and torso will twist everything else until you're realigned. But twisting and turning doesn't seem to follow all the thinking of flying your body efficiently. The flight control surfaces are still mainly legs and arms, no? Mostly legs to keep the arms free for docks. My biggest concern with learning to initiate a turn simply by turning your head is that, for me, docks to the side, like a vertical compressed, turn into sloppy guesswork if they are performed blind. -Ian

I would be a bit more outgoing. (says my 11th post in 2 months) -
The article mentioned that the 9 year old (at least) was his step-son, and it never mentioned the age of the mother. Still you're right, they probably shouldn't breed.

You are talking about different things. The speed of the wind combined with the speed of your canopy will give you your ground speed. Air speed is relative to the winds and will be the same as a function of the canopies flight characteristics.

Safe... "Well you take a chance getting up in the morning, crossing the street, or sticking your face in a fan..." -Frank Drebben, Police Squad I don't know that I do it for the danger. Sure the rush is there, but I think I just like to fly. And being safe is always being reinforced.

But that's what hybrids are all about -
Guiness is best, but it wreaks havoc on the spots the next day, when everyone just wants out

Snow in October! Just curious to anyone who has jumped with snow on the ground... How are the landings (depth perception and such)? I've seen some cool pics but I think the thought is scaring me.

Doing it on your terms is the best way, Nathan. You'll be missed here, especially by that lovely pup. With a little luck I'll see you in Eloy.

Don't listen to Nathan, Boobies are Boobies. If they can fly, even better

Hello All Looks like Nathan just outed me... I have been lurking and, to tell the truth, voyeuristic was the exact description, considering alot of the posts (thanks Dove, wherever you are) So, glad to be here and I hope to meet you all with a little travel to other dropzones. Ian
