This is too bad. I have recommended their products to many new jumpers due to their previous customer service. I guess that has to stop.

Why, how has it changed or effected your dealings with them.

I had an issue with my visoII and had a lot of problems with communications in Europe, HOWEVER the Facbook USA rep, was freaking OUTSTANDING in both communication and help. L&B is a small operation and as such can sometimes get swamped in emails or caught up in their daily non work lives.

I tend to give the benefit of doubt, and rarely do I every take much stock in disgruntled posters on online forums. They do tend to colour their issues in a light most favorable to them and are hardly objective.

    ***When I talked to PD a couple of years ago about a replacement and told them what I was looking for;
    fun to fly
great glide for possible bad spot or low opening on student jumps
stable in deep brakes for low flat turns or tight landings
    don't care about incredible swooping
I was told that they still had nothing that would do the job better than the Stiletto

This is what keeps me on mine. As a working AFF instructor, I get my share of long spots. I don't need a weird opening, ground loving crossed brace to complicate my job. ;) Same here, I have no intention of getting anything else any time soon. 1.5WL on my 135 Stiletto is plenty of fun for me

Lots of good places to jump. Perris will have loads going on the week days. Elsinore and Tsunami/Go Jump in Oceanside will have loads cranking n the weekends. Have fun!

    Yup:)

Just bought a new 3G from Chutingstar, all good, sizing good, but.. There is a noticeable visibility reduction when I close the visor.. I mean I never jumped with full face helmets but I feel it should not be so drastic..

I know people reported problems with the anti-fog coating in the past, but nothing seems to peel off or anything like that.. just the lens itself is like.. foggy? It's not fogging up when I close it down, just the visor itself is not super clear..

Is that a problem or something I have to get used to? I expected much clearer lens to be honest..

Also, a side question - do people jump these helmets without a visor? If I take it off and just jump with sunglasses?

    Thanks!

There is a plastic film covering the front of the lens peel it off.

I'm visitng the USA next Feb to collect a rig.

Would like to get some jumping in.

Where's best at this time of year - Florida? Arizona? California?

    Cheers

Skydive Arizona is your best bet for weather. But where is your rig being made? Going to the shop where your rig was made is always fun. Florida mainly Deland has a bunch of shops within walking distance.

Yup Eloy is where I'd go. GOOD predictable weather, tunnel on site, world class coaching and jumping, Organisers every day.
Florida is to unpredictable with clouds.
Perris or Elsinore in Cali are also decent opitons.

    My list would be
    Eloy
    Elsinore
    Perris,
    Deland/ Sebastian ZHilld Florida.

    In that order.

There was a kickstarter for one recently...can't remember what they called it. I didn't follow it to the end, but it wasn't off to a good start, and I would be surprised if it funded.

They were asking for quite a bit.. and IMO the product was still way too big for skydiving (and needed a subscription as I remember).

Looks like he was tried to swoop between the trees on an OUT landing..

I thought there wasn't any money to be made in skydiving...

there's not, but there isa qyite a bit to be made in Commercial Tandem Parachitung.
The guys who bought this, are not dumbies ;) they own quite a lot of Tandem operations here in OZ (and my sport DZ) and recently listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. :)
This new endevour is their 1st step in Global domination :D:D

    still hiking?

Yeah a bit. Nothing big but a bunch of short hikes. We got a little trailer back in April and have so far spent 8 weeks on the road with it, exploring over 20 different National Parks and Monuments. Good times.:)
Excellent :) closer to the time :)
