    Apostrophes

I think so, since "apostrophe" modifies "Nazi" - can't remember the technical term for it - Jess? edit: Doh! spelling...
  2. Oh yeah. Good point. Good thing it WAS a bad guy... 'Course, don't police have a protocol for handling things like that? Like, loudly identifying themselves? I could see a kid trying to be sneaky though...
  3. I'm with you on this one- she's got guts, and she did a good job. I totally see your point, AggieDave, but given that she's a 64-yr. old lady, and not Tackleberry, I doubt she could've hustled enough to complete a sweep before that guy made his way out of the kitchen...
  4. Oh, I agree. Both weapons have their distinct advantages. Personally, I probably wouldn't have taken any chances, and gone with the shotgun. The fact that she hit her mark, without having to kill, just speaks to her badassitude...
  5. How so? She had every reason to believe her life was in danger- with the door shut, she had the advantage. Plus, she obviously aimed low to maim, not kill...
  6. Better as in using the .357 and killing the bastard who just broke in? Or better as in using the shotgun, killing the bastard, AND avoiding collateral damage to the counters?
  7. Only a woman would have the wherewithal to consider the practicality of saving her counters before trying to blow a guy away... Guys (who have a gun and/or would use a gun in that situation)- would it even have occurred to you to protect your kitchen, or would you have said, "Fuck it," and gone for maximum damage? Good stuff...
  8. No matter how you feel about the current situation, our troops deserve our support. Got this in an e-mail, thought it was cool. Glad to see someone setting an example... IT IS ALL ABOUT HOW YOU TREAT THE PROTECTORS OF OUR LAND. I assume you have all seen the reports about how Sears is treating its reservist employees who are called up? By law, they are required to hold their jobs open and available, but nothing more. Usually, people take a big pay cut and lose benefits as a result of being called up... Sears is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all called up reservist employees for up to two years. I submit that Sears is an exemplary corporate citizen and should be recognized for its contribution. I suggest we all shop at Sears, and be sure to find a manager to tell them why we are there so the company gets the positive reinforcement it well deserves. Pass it on. According to a spokesman for Sears, the company has extended the period in which it will make up the difference between active duty pay and normal salary from 30 days to 24 months. Medical, dental, and life insurance are extended as well. The employee pays part and the company pays part. Sears is also offering a make-up plan on 401K plans so a reservist will not lose retirement benefits.
  9. Well, now, they don't HAVE to be Gator colors. Pretend it's navy blue, and that they're Auburn colors- that's what I did. WAR DAMN EAGLE!! Not trying to hijack this thread- just couldn't resist... Reiterating my vote for blue and orange. Even if they do look like FL colors (blech!), it's still the most contrasting combo...
  10. Here's an idea that a girlfriend of mine and I worked out for her blind dates: We prearrange a time for me to call her cell phone, usually about 45 minutes or so into the date. I ask her a question, any question, and if she answers positively, it's all good; negatively, and I call back in 15 minutes with an urgent "emergency"... 'Course she's a good actress when she needs to be (which she hasn't - lucky her)
  11. NO! If you got a weird vibe, trust it and back off. If you like him that much, wait a while, and see if you can't find out more about him, or at least isolate why you got the vibe. Has he given you personal details? Try to verify as much as possible (do a google search) If/when you do meet him, definitely in public, and don't drink... Careful sweetie!
  12. (*)(*) ?? Yep. That seems about right. Nipples are a bit big... aah, close enough... Uh oh, here I go, hijacking Homer's thread again. [Brer Becca]Oh please, please, please don't spank me! [/Brer Becca] Jeez I crack myself up.
  13. (.)(.) wait... how do I make them much perkier?
  14. I'm sowwy. 0:5:0 beer owed:can't count how many I drank. forgive me? edit: hey- how come I'm the only one that got yelled at? not fair- I'm'onna tell...
  15. Um, I think "she" had that little something extra in the first place... OK then, if she/he wants it, why not get a "package" augmentation deal to go with the breasts?
  16. Ya know- even if it was an actual she, she'd still be kinda amazon-scary. And for that matter, couldn't he/she have just finished the visit to the plastic surgeon with a snip-snip here and a snip-snip there? Eww.
  17. Totally go with the blue and orange. It's a great color combination- lots of contrast, bright, and besides, flames look best orange, right?
  18. OOOHHhhh!! VERY nice! Thank you!

I'm really happy with your body, too... LOL You beat me to it, Lolie. I second that emphatically! I love your sig, by the way! (wait, have I already told you that?)
  20. Hey, you're on that plan, too? We've got a $4 mil jackpot in Texas tomorrow, but I think I'll wait for a bigger one. I mean, $1 mil after tax and present value? Pah. The sun is shining here, too, and tomorrow morning, I shall be aloft...
  21. That's some good stuff... I was a good kid (as opposed to now, obviously), but whenever I stepped one tiny bit out of line, no matter how clever I was about it, I got busted. She ALWAYS knew when something was up. Is that, like, a superpower women acquire upon giving birth? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Ooh! Sign me up! Do you have baby-tees? (you know, the stretchy, extra-small ones that show off boobies to their full advantage?)
