  3. im using a complete system i have the typical removable slyder, a 45 in cascaded bridle right to the bag atachment point. i route the bridle down the topskin and keep it in the s fold giong in the bag my bridle is 500 vectran . The skies are no longer safe I'm back

  5. ive been jumping an rds for a little bit and last weekend i had a mal. dont think it was the rds but cant be sure. i pitched the bag came off and the whole packjob stayed cocooned just like i was about to put it in the bag and it was spinning. weird huh?? then it inflated with oh, say 10 linetwists and turned into a lawn dart. anyway chop and pop nice white reserve overhead. any feedback as to why it stayed cocooned for so long?? also would a tailgate type thing for the bridle going to the slider help in any way?? .   10. they are kinda recommendations arent they?? make them mandatory limits. PD has weights that go with classes. also they have n/r in there too. why dont we make canopy licenses that correspond with those limits, the ones printed on the canopy. make the manufactures, the people that did the r&d on the canopy, post the limits of the caonpy for each of the licenses?? and make people adhere to those limits. some one gets ready to move from novice to advanced make a test to do it. make them hit a target ten times. not just hit the peas but have a target to move around the dz. a lot of people fly landmarks. move the peas and they cant hit em to save their ass. make them get a 4 stack. not just go get pinned either, make them come on last. hell strap weight on their ass so they are at their next wingloading and have them go jump to see if they really like what they are about to go do.most of all make them get coaching. make it a freefall licence requirement. i drove the taxi from the landing area to the hangar for a year and a half just so i could watch people land. see what to do and not to do. it aint just the ones that get hurt or killed. there are a lot of scary jumpers out there that just use their canopy as a life boat. they are gonna be next. all they need is education. make scott miller's essentail skills course an A licence requirement. something along those lines i guess The skies are no longer safe I'm back

  12. im sure everyones read the little tag on your canopy. why arent manufactures recomendations turned to requirements??? then liscense people according to what the little tag says. i think pd has 4 classes on their canopys. some one might look to see what they are exactly. i think it is student, novice, advanced, and expert. there are your liscenses and wingloadings to go with them.and it kinda takes out the canopy type a little. just spitballing here so just a thought .   14. there are a lot of people out there with lots of money that make lots of jumps and learn nothing and listen to no one. what about the ones with 300 jumps that still frap in every jump but now they can do it with a smaller canopy cause they have the numbers to get it ??? education. .   18. im sorry did i put any of the little laughy things beside my comments??? i am quite serious with my quest of knowledge and skills involved to pilot my canopy ive been through every canopy school out there and every canopy course that mile hi canopy flight has offered. if there are any other ones out there i will be in those too. gear cannot be blamed for deaths it is a choice what we fly it is a choice to jump out of a plane it is a choice whether we hook turn it is a choice if people pencil pack. we all make choices. just make the right ones. .   19. max tsod weight for sport reserve is 254# @ 200mph. any one regardless of man. limits. pd 99 same thing as pd 176 as far as choice i havent been terminal or any thing close to it in 2 years. 2 reserve rides on canopy one standup in peas one swoop through the gates. the canopy is fine. misjudgement is what kills. if i was a freeflyer id have a different reserve. freefall is a waste of altitude IMHO. my jumps are goals. and my goals involve high wingloadings.any advice is welcome but always crossreferenced with the canopy instructors i know and trust. p.s. the ridiculous part is some old timer wanting the sport to go back to rounds when nobody got killed landing a canopy.......... they got killed cause the damn things didnt work. sorry if that is kinda blunt but im going back to the bonfire and out of the bickering and bullshit.   24. reserve rides kick ass. my last one i took through the swoop course. even had a fair swoop too. i need dive loops on my reserve risers. that raven had pretty high riser presure. great job saving your ass. its what you spent all that money in aff for. and see it worked. .   25. hey canada you missed a great one yesterday. i took my velo down keystone. it was about a minute flight with my toes in the snow the whole way.you have to go before sunrise to beat the lifts but they dont care as long as the lifts are closed. you gotta go next time. p.s. going to medicine bow peak wensday or thursday if you want a scary one. .
