Pack in my luggage that is... I am leaving for a business trip this week and will have some time to get a jump day in. I want to bring my rig and all my equipment, but am not sure whether it is better to: 1. Carry my rig on bare 2. Carry my rig on in a gear bag 3. Pack my rig in my hard suitcase Thoughts?

I usually try to get by the door. Not only for the reason that you are thinking, but mostly because I am a pilot and really like looking out and enjoying the ride (especially if the door is open). I actually like the bumps and turbulence, even the big ones, I've been in aircraft since I was born so it's normal for me. I love the look on the face of students, tandem riders, and even some veteran jumpers when a really big bump happens, makes me laugh. I like to talk to other people near me that I usually know, and reassure the students to have fun and do good. I will once in a while poke fun at tandem students and get them going. I start getting happy around 11k and am known for always telling everyone within arms reach to have fun and give them skin. But it is that first feel of rushing air when the door opens that turns me on! BJ

This is why I try to keep at least 90% of my clothing on in public. So the women don'w swarm me. I see how hookers dress. I don't want to be a hooker. I don't want to give the wrong impression while at the DZ, so I try to keep really baggy clothing on. But sometimes, I just want to be comfortable, so I wear my speedo. hahaha

I don't think that a girl "flirting" with a guy in any way gives him the right to be a jerk or overly forward. But, sometimes when guy flirts back to a girl flirting he's seen as a jerk. Doesn't that seem like a double standard. When a female at a DZ takes things for free (coached jumps, etc.), it can be an invatation for trouble, because some guys do try to take advantage. But at one extreme, this can sound like the pro athlete whom makes millions and gets everything for free HAS to deal with the damn press. Well, yeah. I think that moderation is the key.

I'm sure this has been covered in other posts, but here's my 2 cents: I'm not sure that the women only forum is good or not. Not because I'm going to be some asshole to say something like, "Where's the MEN ONLY FORUM?" but more because when I got into skydiving my wife was involved in it with me and one of the things that I liked most about Skydiving is that there wasn't a huge gender gap. There wasn't the, "guys are better than girls," feeling that you get in a lot of other sports. It seemed to me looking in as a newcomer that ladies could do anything as well as guys in Skydiving, except maybe break as many leg bones. I'm worried that the WOMEN ONLY FORUM may encourage gender separation. What do you think???

Mostly freeflying. Although I will be using the camera for many non-skydive purposes also.
