  1. Thank you for sticking up for your DZ and fellow jumpers by saying something and reporting it. You didn't overreact. It's no different than someone carelessly tossing their cigarette on a playground while kids are playing. Some people just don't get it. Sometimes I really wish that smoking killed faster.
  2. Are you sure about the specs on the Nitron? Biggest i've seen was a 170
  3. Yep Fortunately my instructors warned me about DZ romance...becoming a character on "As The Prop Turns".
  4. What are people's thoughts as to where trackers should go in the exit order? At Elsinore, trackers get out first, I assumed because they would be exposed to the relative wind the longest. Are other dropzones different? At Perris, trackers also get out first. However, at other dzs I've been to they get out last. So I guess there really is no consensus on this order as there is on freefly and belly order. I would think then the real problem is not exit order but tracking direction and the fact that he tracked up the line of flight. I agree, mistakes can still happen. Perhaps the tracker was back tracking and became disoriented. At Perris last month, a seasoned LO led a 6-8 man tracking dive on his back...with the group leaving the aircraft first per DZ exit order. It started off perpendicular as planned, but the leader mistakenly shifted back with jump run. Some close openings with the other groups but nothing more to report. Would this have still have been considered a near miss if the trackers had gotten out last?
  5. Tuck in your shirt and have a great jump. You may find that you prefer no jumpsuit...especially a smelly rental that wasn't made for you.
  6. Has Mikey started cruising that neighborhood looking for a gold/tan van? Chances are that the finder is a resident there or somebody else has seen her or the van. Check eBay and Craigslist. Put reward postings on the neighborhood telephone poles with better pics of the canopy. Post a reward on Craigslist and use wuffo keywords.
  7. Who do you want to please? A bunch of online strangers who will probably never see your canopy? Or yourself? Exactly. It's your money and canopy, get the colors you like. Get colors that make you want to pack & jump that canopy. All of those patterns are highly visible anyways...and will look beautiful.
  8. Looking forward to it. Thanks for keeping us posted. Hopefully you will allow hi-pulls.
  9. Thanks for sharing that, but are they genuine photos? Those photos gave me a sad feeling. Are sunglasses forbidden there?
  10. I think Skydive Elsinore and Skydive San Diego are beautiful. Great weather, turbines, lots of loads, and both have bunkhouses/showers. They are about 90 miles apart.
