That's Patrick de Gayardon. He is probably about 3000' ft AGL at this point. It's just an illusion.

I -believe- that's Patrick De Gayardon.

In either case, it would have been shot from a helicopter using a very long telephoto lens. Doing that "compresses" the background of the photograph and makes it appear as if the jumpers is much, much lower than he really is.

Some how I don't think the lens is gonna help ya look cool. Besides with an all silver suit all you have to do is fly and you'll look cool on video....just wait and see;)
