Does it power up?
If so, turn it on, remove the card, and let it sit til the battery dies. This should reset it.
I don't know of any other way to reset the HD version.

We had a GoPro HD here that would freeze whenever trying to shoot photos or vids. I was about to send it in with RMA for repair, but figured why not try the update before shipping. New firmware is installed and now it works. Hopefully that's all it needed. We'll test it at the DZ next.

It does power up and gives me the beeps. But then nothing else happens. I have to take the battery out to power it off.
I'm waiting for a support call from GoPro. Let you know how it works out.

My GP HD isn't working either. I have to pull the battery out to get it to turn on, but if you turn it off you have to repeat that process to turn it on again. Also getting it into USB mode is hit or miss, mostly miss. I checked the GP HD support forum and there's more than a few folks with similar problems. And the firmware update didn't alter its behavior. I'm hoping for a RMA too.
