photoshop for mac

can anybody tell me a good application similar to photoshop that i can use on mac?

Uh . . . PhotoShop?

Adobe PhotoShop is available for the Mac. Always has been.

Also comes in a less expensive (and only slightly less capable) version called PhotoShop Elements.

so is photoshop the way to go or is there something better you can reccomend that was designed specifically for mac? at the moment all i have is osX(iphoto and imovie).

PhotoShop is THE raster image editing program. It is the standard by which all other raster image editing programs are judged.

Hands down the best and if you learn it well, you can even make a buck or two off it.

cheers quade, i am in download.com downloading it now for a trial. $649.00usdollars, thats like 1200 bucks where i come from......oh well.

Like I said, there is a less expensive option; PhotoShop Elements.

If you're not a professional and can't write off the program as a business expense, it might make a bit more sense.

And lemme tell you, you don't even wanna complain about the cost of software to me. Take a look at some of the stuff on this page and guess how much money I've spent on software.

oh....i like alll that. I am really digging the mac. I find the way it is set up that it is enjoyable to use and not such a hassle like pc.

ok, so i have elements and a macbook pro, i cant export files.

any help? ideas? i found online, but all it says is something like 'cannot export in billion color mode' or some nerd shite like that.

or just lie and say you are a student. You can get the entire Adobe suite: photoshop, indesign, illustrator, go live, and acrobat, all for about $200.

Journeyed.com is where i picked it up. that was a while back though. and i really was/am a student...
