Vertifly 0 #1 February 3, 2004 Thought I'd just post this in case anyone is interested. That's right, our favorite camera mounting company doesn't exist anymore. B&H are still selling Stroboframes. However, if you really will be needed them in the future, you better get them while you can. There isn't any talk of someone taking over the company and continuing to sell them. It may be the maker of the Stroboframe itself. Tiffen may have the option of taking over manufacturing, but there isn't any evidence that they manufacture the part. If I can find subsantial evidence, I will post it here. Please see the edit to my post. I don't think that Tiffen manufactures the Stroboframe. They are the key distributor. I was told, by one of the rumoring parties, that Tiffen is slated to take over manufacturing, but they haven't made any moves toward doing so. They must be trying to keep something together, we stopped using them as suppliers over 6 months ago. Never go to a DZ strip show. Yes, Tiffen is in a bit o' trouble, but they certainly don't seem to be going out of business yet. Tiffen is the the US distributor for Stroboframe, but not directly tied to it and Stroboframe won't necessarily be screwed as a result of any of Tiffens problems.
