Credits on pictures using photoshop

I was wondering how people put their name on the pictures they publish on the net, do you do this picture by picture or is there a way to automate this in Photoshop?

I know how to do it on a picture by picture basis, but it would be cool to just tell photoshop: for all the pictures in that directory put my name on there in the right hand bottom corner.

Any help is very much appreciated.

If you have a full version of PhotoShop you can automate almost ANY task -- including putting watermarks and copyright notices on images.

It's a great program.

which has text setting that will allow you to add
text to your web photo's

there are two ways I know about how to archive what u want in Photoshop.

1.) U could record an action, by doing it once and than run this recorded action with your other images

2.) I'm not sure how it's called in the English version (using German) ... but you should find something like batch job within the file menu, which takes all photos from 1 folder and apply what you want and save them into another folder

I tryed it for a watermark, it work well, but canot automate the save..... how the @#$% it works.

In photoshop 7, select the Action tab, Click on icon for create a new action.
Name it something like "Create copyright text".
Open a file you want add the text to.
Create a new text on the image.
Save the image to a new file.
Stop recording by clicking on the stop icon.

Now open the menu, File->Automate->batch.
Select the action "Create copyright text"
Select the source folder of your images
Select the "Override Action Open Commands" checkbox.
Selecte the output folder.
Select the "Override Action Save As Command" checkbox.

Select the "OK" button, and watch photoshop play with your images...

We run the digital photos through a program called "Picture Shark." It can overlay an image onto a folder or just a multiple selection of images. I think it was something like $25 on-line.

We set up the overaly image as a "blue screen" thing with the Skydive SoBe logo in the upper left corner and the monkeyKam copyright and logo in the lower right. It works very well and the info we overlay is small enough that it doesn't ruin the photo. I've attached a sample image so you can get an idea (the image was resized from 3072x2048 to 1024x).

This works easily and quickly and I don't have to teach my editors how to use Photoshop.
