0.6x and 0.5x for freeflying

How close do you want to fly? I use a .5 and when taking docks All i get are close ups. But it gives me play space on exits and the like to keep everything large in the frame.

There is a difference and if you plan on docking a lot.. .get the .5
Yesterday is history
And tomorrow is a mystery

Check out this DZ.com article. There're links in there for points of interest. One of them is on wide-angle lense. Hopefully you'll find you answer.

One other thing is talk to Andy when you're at Kapowsin. He'll be a wealth of info.
My other ride is the relative wind.

I use a .5 on my PC120 for tandems, just past arms reach it gives a nice facial detail.

I use my Diamond .3 when I'm within arms reach of what I want to shoot. When I'm inside RW, or when I'm just about docked in Freefly.

If you're outside filming others, the .6 will work fine. A .6 is probably just about right for tandems.

If you're not REAL close, the .3 is too much. The .5 is real good overall, and is cheap.:)

It depends on what you're going to film. If you are going to shoot tandem videos, the .6 is nice, because you don't have to stay super tight on the exit, and you can really fill the frame with the passengers face. The "golden 15" seconds where you fly the lens right up to their face is really nice with a .6. BTW, the .3 is really close to the .6 if you zoom all the way in. It's not my preferred MO, but it works in a pinch.
