AggieDave 6 #1 July 27, 2006 Anyone know if a JVX size 110-120 has been made? I really want to put a couple of jumps on one before I order my next canopy (next month), but I'm not going to blindly buy a JVX. I'm going to go with something I've jumped, especially when you're tossing around over $2k for a canopy. I've jumped a VX 114, a Velo 111 and a Velo 120. (Yeah, I posted this on Slaton's site, but that site is so slow with traffic I really don't want to wait two weeks for any information).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." CanuckInUSA 0 #2 July 27, 2006 I believe JC had a JVX 120 made for him (I'm not sure how much he's jumped it ever since he joined PD). But I don't think anything bigger has been made ... yet. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
AggieDave 6 #3 July 27, 2006 Ok, I'm going to have to find his e-mail address then.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Ok, well, I'm going to try to track down some contact info for JC and drop him a line (which will be interesting since he doesn't know me from Adam).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Spizzzarko 0 #6 July 27, 2006 ummm You might need something a little bigger. The 92-96 of sail material packs up really freaking tight in a 150 container. That is all.
hparrish 0 #7 July 27, 2006 You may have answered your own question. The JVX flies allot like the VX only it swoops faster and farther and the openings are nicer. Hmmmmm sounds like a completely different canopy, huh? If you liked the VX you'll Fricken love the JVX. We are having a Swooping boogie at Skydive the Farm in Georgia on August 19-20. We'll have my spare JVX 99 available. And several folks will be there with JVX's. Perhaps Jim could send his JVX to us (Team Wicked Liquid), for the event. Jim can vouch for us. Have him contact us at [email protected] Harry P
AggieDave 6 #8 July 27, 2006 I appreciate the invite, but there's no way I can make that weekend. That's the weekend of Ballooner in Houston too, and I can't make it to that either. Well, I really didn't like the VX as much as the Velocity, so I was thinking that maybe the JVX would turn my opinion...still want to jump one though.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." hparrish 0 #9 July 27, 2006 hmmmm Well all i can say is we've got some Long Time Velocity pilots at my DZ, that said "Thats a bad ass canopy" after they jumped my JVX. I think we are converting a few of them. I've added about 100 feet distance to my swoops since switching to the JVX. It's a very efficient wing. Just some food for thought.
