signature bar

It would be cool if you could insert a

-------------------------------------------------- or something similar just before the posters signature script by default. Reason is i get fed up reading peoples signatures a thousand times that 'look' part of their body text because they didnt use a signature separator in settings.

You can do what I do...every couple months or so I post a thread bitching about that, telling people to use the "[ hr.]" tag to create a nice clean line.

I agree with you, though, it would be a very nice addition for those unwilling to use a little 'net curtiousy.

And what about turning signatures off in the incident forum.
Sometimes, even though a sigline is pretty innocent, it can sometimes be inappropriate in the incidents forums.

There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

It's a simple matter to remove the check mark from the box "Append Signature to post" when you think your sig may not be appropriate or you wish to use another, temporary, one.

Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money.

Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Nobody seems to do this though. I have seen many inappropriate signatures on incident postings. Sometimes even from moderators.

I also think that people might not realize that updating their signature is retroactive, and will change their signature for all their posts.

I would like to re-iterate that I agree that signatures should be turned off for the incidents forum.

Thanks
Andrew
