New tunnel near Vancouver International Airport?

Recommended Posts

Rumor - on the DZ this weekend - has it that an investor is looking for other investors to help finance a new wind tunnel at the River Rock Casino in Richmond, British Columbia.
That location sounds great because it is close to Vancouver International Airport and has a Skytrain station.
How many Seattlites would a tunnel attract?

In other rumors, the proposed wind tunnel at Balzac, Alberta (a suburb of Calgary) seems to be on hold.

Probably very few if the rumored tunnel near Southcenter Mall (just south of Seattle, near Sea-Tac airport) comes to fruition. But who knows what'll actually get built, when. And of course, if both are there, exchange rates could wind up being a contributing factor in which tunnel looks more attractive.

And all it took was a little googling for me to find this, too: http://www.ufly-seattle.com/

Be interesting to see which one opens first. Either way, it's great for both cities to have options!

The rumor i heard was some guy last name Cooper was putting up a couple hundred thousand to build a tunnel near the airport in Seattle. He was quoted as saying it was for old time sake and giving back to a community who has share so much with him since the early 70's;):)
