Anyone want to tell the seller the date on the ad was transposed.
Check out the date on the back of the pic thats the correct date.

Creepy pic, I wouldn't want it at any price. But someone will.

Seems to me they have the year wrong. It was before Sept 8 1967 when I started. I talked to a jumper at Dan Walko's farm he told me if Im wanted to start jumping do it now as FAA was going to crack down on jumping.

That doesn't seem to be a photo of anything connected to the Lake Erie jump/tragedy.

As as I can recall, they never had any photos in te newspaper at the time, and certainly not of survivors. There were only two, and they were walking, unhurt, and not needing hospital care.

I think someone is pulling your leg here.

The jump that landed in lake Erie was on Sunday August 27th 1967.

I respectfully request that you remove this posting. It is totally invalid, and an affront to the memories of those who died on August 27th 1967.

Bill,

First I can't remove it. I'm not a moderator and the time period for me to remove it has passed.

Second, there is nothing invalid about my post. I made no representations about the photo. I simply provided a link to a photo for sale that indicated it was a parachuting accident. If in fact it was mislabeled by the newspaper at the time OR the seller mixed up front and back images that is not my fault. I did nothing and would do nothing to disrespect the victims memories and I am offended by that implication.

I understand your discomfort and I suggest you contact the seller and inform them of the issue.
