Jus' wonderin' if there's any chatrooms for us these days

I know of 2; Erno Kaikkonen's bletherchat which I've never been able to find active (it's mostly active when US folks are in bed). The other is the Wednesday night dz.com chat; you can find it in the pub (get htere from Home in hte upper left hand corner). But it's been broken, and Slappie's chatroom has been substituting on Wednesdays instead. There's usually a post on Wednesday that says "Pub, dammit" or something equally eloquent with the link du jour.

Indeed, since most people that frequent "my"(my home DZ's actually) chat are from Europe and Africa, with the odd Australian thrown in every now and then, it's most likely that you find people there during European office hours.
