SkyAnt 0 #10 May 12, 2004 Don't look at me. You replied to both. I do that to get different opinions. Which....... usually works. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke (1729-1797)
quade 3 #11 May 12, 2004 I'm gonna say the next -really- big thing would be a jet pack in conjuction with a wing suit or maybe hard wing. No. It still won't be landable, but will give you maybe 5 minutes of flight time before you have to deploy. I think this is where hard wings would have an advantage over wing suits because it's physically difficult to maintain position for that length of time. There may actually need to be an intermediate step where a design in made that is a hybrid between a hard wing and wing suit. Something that could fit comfortably and practially in the back of a Twin Otter -- being no more bother than say, a skyboard. Something that maybe exits "soft" but when it inflates doesn't require so much effort by the skydiver to hold it in position.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Frenchy68 0 #12 May 12, 2004 Bird type suit that allows one to land without having to deploy a canopy...
