GQ_jumper 4 #7 June 3, 2005 anybody got a cheap beginner rig for sale? Quote wait until you at least have your A license before you get a rig, if gear rental isn't killing you on money, wait til you have a 100 so you really know what kind of rig would best suit your interests and ability. Sure you can come to dz.com and get tons f suggestions for what type of canopies you should look at, but before you go for anything take those suggestions to your instructor who knows you well and run it by him. then demo, demo, demo. til you find out what you want.(pssst, demo a pilot they rock) welcome to the community and good luckHistory does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Read your SIM...cover to cover...over & over. Have PATIENCE! Keep your EYES & EARS open at all times. Hang around the DZ even when the weather is bad or the winds are too high...WATCH people pack & LISTEN to the chatter...watch jumpers LANDING...you will learn a lot that way. WAIT to buy a rig...you won't be able to jump with it right now anyway. Remember the Patience part? SMILE, RELAX, ARCH & HAVE FUN!
