Droolbaby 0 #2 October 25, 2005 Hey Bekah, I am not sure of the dz job, but I do know you will need to have some type of employment and then you just contact the Depertment of Immigration and get hooked up with a work visa. They will have to coordinate with your job in order to verify your employment status...an easy process, if you dont mind the run arounds and the waiting our government puts on everything. Other than that..welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth. Oh wait, I don't work at Disneyland anymore..damn. Oh well..welcome to hell??? ...Happiness is just a drool away....mmmmm.... skinnyshrek 0 #3 October 25, 2005 Almost impossible to get a work visa..Best way round it is get a student visa with work restrictions. You can find jobs over here that will pay you cash. I was here for 10 years. Good luck though. Just because i couldn't get one and numerous number of my friends couldn't doesn't mean you can't. Just tell them you are from india or pakistan they will throw in a grant for ya..lolhttp://www.skydivethefarm.com do you realize that when you critisize people you dont know over the internet, you become part of a growing society of twats? gemini 0 #4 October 25, 2005 In order to get a US work visa, you will need to show that there are no US citizens available for the job or that you have spedific, crucial skills required by the employer. This is easier than it looks. All the employer has to do is advertise once for someone who has the specific qualities you possess. For example if you speak an unusual foreign language or have an expertise with a particular software not common in the US, the employer requires that and anything else that you can do that others can't. A few may speak the language or know the software, but no one will meet the combination of skills. or I know a guy who got his visa because he was a "skydiving competitor" and was needed for a US team. I never saw him compete in the state or at nationals. Blue skies, Jim
skinnyshrek 0 #5 October 25, 2005 Even then you have to go through some many loops its unbelievable. I have an english friend from my home town at the moment. He got a temporary work visa. He has a business that employs over 20 Americans. He is facing deportation because they won't renew his visa. It's fucked up as 20 americans will be out of a job if he has to leave the country. US immigration is messed up.http://www.skydivethefarm.com do you realize that when you critisize people you dont know over the internet, you become part of a growing society of twats? gemini 0 #6 October 25, 2005 His customers need to come to his aide. They can intervene on his behalf and petition that he is crucial to their businesses. Yes it is much harder now than it used to be, but it still can be done with a lot of patience and $$$. Having the right attorney is very, very important. If they advertize that they are immigration specialists, they usually are not very good. Blue skies, Jim
skinnyshrek 0 #7 October 25, 2005 Thats exactly what i told him to do when i was going through immigration. It was no problem due to marriage. for some reason if you want to live over here pay taxes and employ people they are not interested.http://www.skydivethefarm.com do you realize that when you critisize people you dont know over the internet, you become part of a growing society of twats? CygnusX-1 42 #10 October 26, 2005 Why do it the hard way by getting a visa? Just get a flight to Mexico and cross the border illegally. You could be in this country for decades before anyone cared or found out.

Andrewwhyte 1 #12 October 27, 2005 Forget about getting a visa as a pilot. It is a job designation on their 'no chance' list. Canada is full of pilots with FAA AT ratings who cannot get visas for advertised jobs.
