Jumpingeezer 4 #3 July 4, 2008 We did virtually the same thing in Pennsylvania last Saturday. We got thirteen on the first attempt and fourteen on the second. We jumped out of a CASA during the Pelt Head Boogie at Chambersburg. What a HOOT!Dave P.
Lindsey 0 #4 July 4, 2008 Do SOSs sleep with POPs? Or is that just trashy? I know it's kinda a trashy question (and I realize that one is a subset of the other), but that's just me...lol. But I'm still asking.-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. A liberal is just a conservative who's been to jail

gemini 0 #12 July 7, 2008 What a great event. Kudos to John, TJ, Max & Eric for the jump management, and to Skydive Chicago and Chicagoland for hosting such a great, fun event. Rook always puts on the best UFO/fireworks display and the food is fantastic. This is really the premier regional POPS event each year. MakeItHappen 15 #14 July 8, 2008 QuoteThanks, Jim. Picture is up at: www.freak-brother.com/ILPOPS Nice. The wacker builds look good too. now an OMG moment.... I can see the dive engineering changes that you made and where you cut slots. You changed the 5-way loops to 4-way loops with a stinger. Even the 4-way loops look too 'loopy', esp the one at 3 o'clock. That's because the 8-way base is not round, but oval. The radials are compressed over on that side of the formation. You cut stingers at 9 o'clock and 6 o'clock. You cut a wacker guy from the 2nd row of wackers at 7-8 o'clock. And the best part is that you used DiveMaker for the drawing. Good skydive. .. skittles_of_SDC 0 #16 July 8, 2008 Quote ...Then another geezer arrived... I'm not saying you guys are old and have bad bones, I'm just saying I don't think I saw a single standing landing. No but seriously, congratulations to all of you. I got to see the video on the 18 way and it looked great. You guys are true skydivers and I hope I'm still jumping at that age. blues

I'll be honest I was kinda watching for all the sliding landings because it was funny to see people with 1500+ jumps sliding in on their butts. It was classic. smooth 0 #19 July 9, 2008 It took 80+ old geezers landing downwind for the dz to realize the winds had changed 180 degrees.
omnia 0 #20 July 9, 2008 although I missed sunday's successful attempt at the POPs record, I totally enjoyed watching it on friday and saturday! as a new jumper, I get nervous just seeing all those canopies in the air. The best though was watching 80+ people land out Friday morning!
