HydroGuy 0 #1 April 2, 2005 I have pretty much tackled my A check list. Need one more accuracy landing, plot a jump with a pilot, need to learn to pack. But I need to do all my RW jumps. What exactly do these jumps entail? Just docking and changing rate of fall? Or actually turning a point or two? Tracking after someone?Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

Basically it's fall rate adjustments, being able to dock, and being able to track in a stright line away from the other jumper(s) your in the air with is all. Be safe. Shark 0 #3 April 2, 2005 Ask your instructors. They should have this outlined in Cat. G & H of the ISP. QuoteWhat exactly do these jumps entail? Just docking and changing rate of fall? Or actually turning a point or two? Tracking after someone? Yes. Check your local DZ's program.
lewmonst 0 #4 April 2, 2005 At Perris, RW#'s 1, 2, 3, and 4 plus the A-license check-out dive. They basically entail docking, tracking, fall rate adjustments, diving and docking, centerpoint turns, and combinations of these things. You can get a copy of the blue RW book from the PV school. peace lewhttp://www.exitshot.com

HydroGuy 0 #7 April 2, 2005 QuoteUSPA A License Proficiency Card You can pick the RW requirements out of th elaer Categories. They are fairly straighforward. Good luck in finishing up!! I've never seen this card...mine is the same but abbreviated(?) or something. Looks straight forward. Docking, breaking off at correct altitude, track away for safe deployment. I tried to do some 2 way stuff in the tunnel on wed. Bounced off the walls a lot. Got above my buddy and smashed him into the net once. I need to work more on rate of fall, but I felt like he needed weights or something. I was de-arching, cupping my shoulders forward, and he was still above me. Then I'd look up, and spill whatever lift I had just generated. My pecs still hurt from that 20 min workout...Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
slotperfect 7 #8 April 2, 2005 THe one I linked you to is the four-page ISP version. Sounds like you have this one, which is for students who trained using other programs.Arrive Safely John
HydroGuy 0 #9 April 2, 2005 Awww...familiarity!!! Yes, I have that card indeed. Does this mean I only have to do two RW type jumps? Also, other hop and pops are @ 5k...this card says 3.5k...what gives?Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
bodypilot1 0 #10 April 3, 2005 Quote Does this mean I only have to do two RW type jumps? What it means is you have to complete the Targeted Learning Objectives or TLO's until you have done them seccessfully, and sometime that can take more then just 2 jumps. QuoteAlso, other hop and pops are @ 5k...this card says 3.5k...what gives? Both cards require a H&P from 3500ft. You can practice them at a higher altitude until you feel like you can do them from 3500ft, thats why they have one at 5000ft on the other card. You have SO MUCH time when doing your H&P at 3500ft, but most think they dont. Relax and do a 5 count as you watch the plane fly away then pull. It's really easier then you think. Be safe. SkymonkeyONE 4 #11 April 4, 2005 Why does Perris not use the USPA A license proficiency card?
HydroGuy 0 #12 April 7, 2005 Well, here is the deal. It clearly states in the SIM under A liscense requirements that a minimum of 5 jumps with another person must be completed. One of my instructors believed that the AFF classes where you are set lose and requiring docking should count for these. The school owner thought differently. So, we contacted the USPA. They advised that the 5 jumps with others cannot include the AFF jumps. Random that there is no checklist for this requirement on my proficiency card, as there is on the 5 accuracy landings etc.Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
