ESG Is ES Gone

Just like Renewables the idea is much better than the reality.

“The third quarter was the first time more sustainable funds liquidated or removed ESG criteria from their investment practices than were added, according to Morningstar.”

Before y’all get your panties in a bunch over a “denier” link, the original article was in the WSJ but it is paywalled

Maybe you should get your thong in a wad: turmoil in congress by your republican brethren is causing NASA to curtail our unmanned missions to retrieve collected soil samples from Mars. Good job being a reliable luddite in the service of the past.

Good point.  There is nothing more pressing than getting some dirt from Mars

I would rather spend the money educating children

So you want to take private money from a private corporation and use it for socialist endeavors.

I will remember that next time you gripe about taxes.

No, I would give parents vouchers so they could send their kids to a school of their choosing.
BTW I voted for a tax increase (local) to pay for our new high school even though my kids go to private schools.

Don't most voucher people seem to support tax monies not paid by them to fund their charter schools?

Hence the support for vouchers. Socialist school funding seems to be the smell I'm getting.

Salt of the earth you are, some of us pay for the roads and police that make private schools accessible and safe and do so when we don't have any kids. So whoopty f'n do. By the way where do you think that voucher money would come from? Donations from Libertarian sponsors?

So you want to take my tax money and give it to rich people so they can buy another BMW.

I am going to laugh even harder the next time you complain about taxes.

=======================

Republican-controlled legislatures in Florida, Iowa, Arkansas and elsewhere passed massive expansions to school vouchers this year . . .

When school choice programs began decades ago, they were primarily meant to assist low-income families seen to be trapped in failing local public schools and students with disabilities. But the new vouchers in many cases lift — or even eliminate — household income caps, giving wealthier families state cash to send their kids to private schools.

With enrollment surging in these programs — which Republicans say shows how desperate families are for more education choices — early data shows that students in some of these states aren’t leaving their public schools for private options. Instead, most scholarships are going to incoming kindergarteners and students already enrolled in private schools.

Isn't that what the voucher program really has always been about, allowing rich parents a tax funded discount on private schools.

And it's a way to keep your pure-blooded kids away from those nasty brown and queer kids.  I mean, who knows what could happen in cases like that?

In Florida, for example, Grace Christian School recently sent out an email stating that "We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, transgender identity/lifestyle, self-identification, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful in the sight of God and the church. Students who are found participating in these lifestyles will be asked to leave the school immediately."

They receive $1.6 million in voucher funding, paid for by tax incomes.

Up next - Florida schools will realize that they can exclude blacks as well, since the Bible says that the races shall not mix.

Maybe NASA could redirect the funds going to generating climate change propaganda and DEI initiatives and fund good old fashioned space programs
