Phil1111 911 #77 January 10, 2018 piisfish******I got to admit it is fun coming here on occasion and seeing CNN parotid daily. You guys got to be proud Can we all just take a moment and look at what your people think is "real news"? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmqxM0D-i-wis this for real or is it a parody? I've never heard his program but I've seen transcripts of other segments. It rings true. Now take one hour of his program and add to it the story in the other current thread on fixing facebook: https://washingtonmonthly.com/magazine/january-february-march-2018/how-to-fix-facebook-before-it-fixes-us/ The two separate elements would be a good 1/2 credit college course on how partisan divisive politics works. It would cover the spectrum from young to old. Only missing the religious right. Its an old formula. -label an enemy -hammer him with false accusations -mix fear and a call to action into the story line The hope is that democrats don't swing as hard to the left when the trump era ends. billvon 2,400 #78 January 10, 2018 >is this for real or is it a parody? No, it's real. But nowadays it runs into Poe's Law of the Internet - "It is impossible to create a parody of extreme views so obviously exaggerated that it cannot be mistaken by some readers or viewers as a sincere expression of the parodied views." Trump bashes Michael Wolff for writing a "book of lies". Then Trump invites cameras into a meeting, proving that he operates exactly as Wolff told us: http://www.cc.com/video-clips/kbjk86/the-daily-show-with-trevor-noah-trump-sends-mixed-messages-on-immigration "There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Nobody does "Queen of Hearts" better than Trump.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
