That means they shared a common ancestor 20 generations ago. Calculate how many ancestors a person has 20 generations ago and it's over a million (excluding in-breeding). There's a good chance that we all are 19th cousins to both of them, and to each other.

Well, 19th cousins don't count for much. Even the Koch brothers know that.
