davjohns 1 #9 December 23, 2013 Several years ago, Alabama voted on whether to make prostitution illegal state-wide. It was usually illegal in counties or cities, but not state-wide. I voted against it. I lost, of course. While I hate many of the things that go along with prositituion, I don't see the transaction itself much different from a one-night stand. Everyone is entitled to their own choices as well as the logical consequences that follow. I don't see where the government or society needs to tell people how to live their lives if they aren't hurting anyone else.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. Just like gambling, drugs, and alcohol during prohibition; how many of those things would go away if it was legal? If the participants weren't hiding "underground" while involved in the activity. If the girls were able to go to the cops with no fear of prosecution?
