jclalor 12 #1 January 29, 2012 While taking questions, Santorum was asked about Obama being a Muslim, illegal POTUS, and claiming Obama said the constitution was passe. What did Santorum do? for the most part, he agreed with her. McCain at least showed a little class. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eveb9Hcf4G8
Andrewwhyte 1 #2 January 29, 2012 Actually I thought he did fine. He shut his mouth on the crazy shit and steered the discussion directly towards legitimate political discourse. Doesn't matter whether the appointments are legitimate or not, opposition howling over procedure is normal politics.
jclalor 12 #3 January 29, 2012 Quote He shut his mouth on the crazy shit That was my point, classless cowards keep their mouth shut. The number of people that applauded during her comments demonstrate how out of touch a good number of the GOP are.
Andrewwhyte 1 #4 January 29, 2012 I know what you are saying, and I do remember McCain aggressively correcting people, but the truth is Santorum is not obliged to stick up for Obama or piss off the looney wing of the party that, lets face it, are largely in his camp. Personally I would vote for Trump before Santorum, but I don't believe in criticizing him for the comments someone else made. There is enough coming out of his mouth to go after. The unfortunate thing about Sharia is that, once he has stated adherence to Islam (as he did in Indonesia - and he still quotes the Koran rather glibly), to later claim to be a Christian is punishable by death. The "religion of peace" is more a religion of "rest in peace." BSBD, Winsor

The problem is with the radical adherents who actually listen to this kind of thing in ancient texts (includes Christians who think God hates fags and wants them put to death, who think that killing abortion providers is preventive medicine, Orthodox Jews who think that spitting on little girls they consider to be improperly dressed in "their" neighborhoods, Muslims who think that genital mutliation is a good thing, etc).
