More abuse of the taxpayer

Recommended Posts

Here is yet another example of abuse of the tax payers.

It's bad enough that the tax payers paid for a stair case at the University of Quebec at Montreal that leads into a solid white wall. It is only 9 steps and yet some zipperhead felt that they needed to build an escalator and then bill the tax payers $200,000.

I would like to say "Only in Quebec" (Canada's most corrupt province). But even here in Calgary we have had similar abuse. Several years ago some brainiacs down at Silly Hall decided to spend a minimum of $25 million dollars on a designer pedestrian bridge over the Bow River linking up a high income residential neighborhood with downtown Calgary. Problem is, they built this designer pedestrian bridge 1.5 blocks away from an existing pedestrian bridge and 2 blocks away from a bridge pedestrians and motorists share. Oh and this $25 million dollar designer pedestrian bridge is 2 years behind schedule and who knows how much it will cost the tax payers at the end of the day.

First thing we need to do is kill all of the politicians. Since most of the politicians are lawyers, we can kill two birds with the same stone. Sorry Lawrocket ... you may be a good person but the same can not be said about your peers. ;)

Welfare for the rich again.

Or you could make the claim that the rich are getting some benefit for the taxes that they overwhelming support.

Both claims would be stupid and would miss the mark.

I am still laughing that the University of Quebec at Montreal built an escalator 9 steps high leading up to a fully blocked off wall and charged the tax payers $200,000. I would say it sucks to be a Quebec/Montreal tax payer, except Quebecers don't believe in paying their own way through life and instead rely on welfare from the rest of Canada to pay for their socialism and extravagant special interest spending.

True. Come to think of it the other bridges are in close enough proximity that they too are probably leading to wealthier areas. They should knock them down in the spirit of income equality, the government has no business assisting those piece of shit richies.

This isnt about government projects being unaccountable and wasteful, this is about the filthy rich! I am glad I am back on track, I stray from the real focus sometimes!
