Sure its not Socialism/Communism?

Recommended Posts

Ever heard of Maxine Waters? She is a Representative from California. Here is what she said:
Quote

"And guess what this liberal would be all about. This liberal will be about socializing … uh, um. …Would be about…, basically…, taking over…, and the government running all of your companies."

Once again another democrat admitting that thier goal is to "take over"!

Are you just going to continue to make excuses for these people or actually start listening to thier own words.

Yes, I'm quite sure it's not the same. She's no prize. Of course, Strom Thurmond wasn't exactly a prime example of Republican rectitude, either.

But if I lived in her district, I'd sure be working to have almost anyone else elected. :S

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

And people like Strom Thurmond are another reason we are in the mess we are in. Both parties have given way to corrupt and power hungry people.

Also, incase you missed it, here is another one.

"Let me remind you this [Americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you're going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people." -Representative John Dingell

This reminds me of Star Wars (yes I am a nerd but there is a point to this reference). When anakin and padme are talking about all the bad things happening (they are hiding on padme's home planet and in a feild) anakin says that people should be made to do whats right to which padme says who will make them? (not a direct quote.) Interesting how that elitist atitude leads. To think that you know better than everyone else is so unbeleivably prideful. To think that you or someone else such as the government should be making decisions for people is no different than what happens in the movie and all leads to the same place.
The government was established in america to keep us free and to protect our freedoms. Not to protect us from ourselves and protect us from the consequense (be it good or bad) of our decisions that we have the freedom to make.

>"I won" - Barack Obama

Quite accurate.

Although true to avoid debating such things as healthcare by making such a statement is, at least, unacceptable. Besides, people like obama are supposed to be civil servants and to continually state you "won" is hardly in line with serving the people.

Right wingnuts keep parroting the talking point "There was no debate" and "No one wanted any input from Republicans", etc, etc.

It it a load of bullshit. What did the Senate waste the entire summer of 2009 doing? Negotiating healthcare, AKA, the Gang of Six. The rescums delayed and bogged down progress. We ended up with a weak bill that no one likes.

The scumbag right wingnuts bitch about the mandate. You fucking IDIOTS!!!! It was a rescum idea!!! It made the bill!!! Your side got a BIG piece of what you wanted.

Quit being too stupid to research the bullshit that comes from Faux News, NewsMax, etc. The bastards are lying to you, and you are eating up like kids do ice cream.

The Rescumlicans have grossly misused the filibuster to stop MAJORITY RULES in the Senate. You right wing assholes!!! When will you put a stop to the gross abuse of Senate Rules? Quit the tea party childishness and deal with REAL ISSUES that are destroying the way the government is supposed to work.

You'll have to take that up with Mike.

He was the person the people selected to serve them. He did, in fact, win the election, no matter how much you detest that fact.

I'm pretty sure nobody is denying the fact he won. I know you're intentionally being difficult because you aren't this dense. He wasn't throwing his hands up on election night with pride saying "I won." He said "I won" in a situation to intentionally sound like "Shut the fuck up. I do what I want."

No, he said that to a guy that disagreed with him on a policy issue. He is so arrogant, that he couldn't credit McCain with having a legitimate position. Rather he treats any opposition as being solely motivation by obstructionism rather than take the time to listen to the content of the 'other' sides.

So, you can show the C-SPAN video where the Repubs were included in all those 'negotiations', right?

Oh, I forgot - C-SPAN wasn't covering those meetings between Obama/Reid/Pelosi and the bribee-of-the-week, were they?

Nevermind!

It is impressive how right wing nuts consistently refuse to do any fact checking at all. One would think that Google is hard to use and that youtube is hopelessly complicated.

Why don't you figure out the most detestable portions of the "health care" bill, write them down, then do a bit of research. You will find that the items which y'all are so pissed off about are actually republican ideas that ended up in the bill because the dems are spineless.

Tell me, Mike, are you in favor of "pre-exisitng conditions" being a legal reason for a private health insurance company to deny care?

Are you in favor of "post claim underwriting" so that when you get sick, the insurance companies can nitpick you application and cancel coverage, after the fact?

How about the death panels? True or false?

Sheeple, pure and simple. Why would you all be against something that is positive for MOST of the people in the USA? Because you all can't tell fact from fiction. You all never learned critical thinking skills.

Wow. You really have some serious anger issues with this guy.

(In news this week, Obama was quoted as saying "we need to work with the Iraqis on a solution", intentionally using a tone to sound like "Fuck you, I hate America.")

As opposed to the oh-so-critical thinking skills that brought the 'negotiating' comment that somehow isn't getting discussed anymore - amazing, that. The fact that you blithely dismiss the concerns about cost and rationing shows that you're every bit the 'sheeple' that you accuse detractors of being - you've swallowed Obama's spin hook, line and sinker.

He's right, you're spinning.

The top congressional leaders from both parties gathered at the White House for a working discussion over the shape and size of President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan. The meeting was designed to promote bipartisanship.

But Obama showed that in an ideological debate, he’s not averse to using a jab.

Challenged by one Republican senator over the contents of the package, the new president, according to participants, replied: “I won.”
