billvon 2,454 #17 November 21, 2005 >i think we can all agree there is a huge difference between mistyping > and poor oral skils. ?? How's that? You express yourself with other people orally; you express yourself to other people on-line through your writing. Carelessness in either is an indication that you don't care much about how your message looks or sounds. That doesn't mean you aren't smart. You may just care more about content than presentation, and that's fine. Just keep in mind that other people may feel the same way.

j0nes 0 #22 November 21, 2005 Quote>i think we can all agree there is a huge difference between mistyping > and poor oral skils. ?? How's that? The huge difference is that typing takes longer (for most) than speaking. By the time the word is half typed, I'm already four words ahead. That's how "international" became "internation". That's how "international" became "internation". No problems there; again, if misspelled words and the like don't bother you, then there's no reason to type more carefully or use a spellchecker.
