weber 0 #1 October 23, 2001 Last weekend my buddy and I did our first CReW. It was incredible, but because we are at a small DZ we had no one to talk to it about because no one else had tried it. When we docked we were always broke off by 4000 feet. I was on the bottom as he stuck his legs underneath the bottom of the front of my canopy and around my lines. My question is that I have microlines...is that a problem?
jumpervali 1 #2 October 23, 2001 If you were to have a wrap and the micro lines got around an unprotected leg it would cut to the bone. Also always have a hook knife when doing CRW to clear lines if needed. I still feel the only reason a person should be allowed a gun on a skydive is to keep people from trying to dock your canopy. Play nice! jumpervali

Just think about it, shooting people when they come too close to you under canopy. How about shooting people in freefall, to defend yourself against combat RW? Would you have to aim significantly lower to hit them?? And if you are really getting into CReW, you want a real knife, not one of these $5 plastic thingies.... either the metal hook knifes, or imitate the CReW dawgs out there and carry 3 or 4 full blown hunting knives!
