lippy 771 #1 April 14, 2002 So I just got an email from a guy at one of the DZs in the province, and they're gettin a Beech18!!!! Good because I've never jumped out of anything bigger than a Cesna, bad because I don't wanna ditch my home DZ, where we've got 2 C206s and a C182. I'll probably end up working out a weekend alternation schedule, but who knows. I'm wondering how many jumpers a beech18 will hold, though. Anybody know?- live like a poor man so I can play like a rich one,Roger

Craig 0 #4 April 14, 2002 You can get 12 jumpers on the Beech 18 if I remember correctly and 14 jumpers on the Westwind Beech. I really like the 18, but the Westwind is nice because of the faster climb.
packman 0 #5 April 14, 2002 Beech 18 - usually 12 jumpers
riggerrob 558 #6 April 14, 2002 Piston engined Beech 18s carry 12 to 14 jumpers depending upon empty weight.Military surplus Beechs tend to have a lot of heavy, useless wires, radios, hoses, etc. Installing modern radios and removing obsolete wires improves the climb rate or allows you to carry more jumpers.
