goose491 0 #3 November 6, 2002 QuoteHow would you tell the difference between a shy person and an anti-social person ? Only time will tell. Being shy IS being anti-social. A shy person, however, will 'come around' or 'warm up' to you where as an anti-social person will not. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

happythoughts 0 #8 November 6, 2002 QuoteHow would you tell the difference between a shy person and an anti-social person ? Walk up. Make a joke and smile. A shy person will be glad you are being nice and respond in the same fashion. You will probably enjoy talking to them because they will have a lot to tell you. Shy people generally have a neat sense of humor. An anti-social will come up with a butthead remark and you should walk away.

blondeflyer7 0 #10 November 6, 2002 My perception would be that a shy person talks and looks intrested in what conversations are going on a anti-social person looks at you like your crazy and doesn't speak at all
wmw999 2,175 #11 November 6, 2002 A shy person is more scared. They care about interactions with others, but they're scared of "doing it wrong" The anti-social person just doesn't care about it. But I really liked the baseball bat one...Wendy W. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
